Hello! My name is Vera Zhukova and I'm one of the leaders of Upsala-Circus.
I'm glad to see you here and hope you will find some interesting information about our circus and the person we are looking for.
We are Upsala-Circus (Zeitz, Sachsen-Anhalt Land), the center for the new circus.
Since 2022, we have been developing regular programs for children and adolescents focused on integration — bringing together kids with different backgrounds and life experiences, including those with migration and refugee experiences. We started with one group of 30 children. Today we have 150+ children in 5 regular groups aged 3 to 17, and around 1000 people attend our events every year.
We firmly believe that modern circus can be the means to deal with social issues through creativity, dialog and personal development. In addition to projects for children and teenagers, we are creating in Zeitz a city circus festival, developing a professional circus troupe and we want to create a new space for the Center for the New Circus. We are now looking for a Project Manager of Children & Youth Projects — someone who wants real responsibility, independence and the challenge of making things work every day**.** Zeitz is located 45 km from Leipzig, there is a direct rail connection.
